Highlighting the best practices of moderators: Frank on the Hereditary Spastic Paraplegia community
Frank Davis is the President of the Spastic Paraplegia Foundation, a person living with hereditary spastic paraplegia (HSP), and a moderator on RareConnect’s HSP community. We’d like to highlight what makes Frank a successful moderator in this post to give you suggestions on how you can provide support to member’s of your RareConnect community.
Frank identifies himself on his RareConnect profile to connect to others and so members know the source of his knowledge.
While Frank may not have an answer to every single post or story that is shared, he shares his patient group’s website, contact information, details of upcoming conferences, and other sources of support and information.
Frank shares his personal experiences while acknowledging that each person’s journey with a rare disease can be very different.
Frank is just one of 112 volunteer moderators on RareConnect. Thanks to their vigilance, open communication, and commitment to international patient support, RareConnect can function.
